Meet Gerry DeSimone
After 38 years as one of the most active trial attorneys in Southern California, Gerry closed his practice and began teaching at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, while taking classes at Pepperdine’s renowned Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, where he received an LLM.
A member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) for more than 20 years, and a breadth of experience representing both Defendants and Plaintiffs in various areas of litigation, Gerry’s familiarity with the subtleties and complexities of litigation enables him to appreciate and shed light on the benefits of settlement, including the financial, emotional, and other burdens of going to trial.
Starting in 1990, he served on numerous Court ADR panels and has been appointed by the Court to serve as a mediator in more than 100 disputes.
While Gerry resides in California, he mediates disputes in person and by Zoom, throughout the United States.

Testimonials:
First off, I want to say again that it was a pleasure working with you on Tuesday and I appreciate the hard work you put into the mediation itself, as well as your follow up afterwards—you set a very high bar.
AK—Defense Counsel
Your talent and attention to detail as a mediator mimic those same qualities you had as a litigator! Thanks for your help.
KR—Plaintiff’s Counsel
You are a gentleman. Your hard work in helping us bring this matter to a settlement has not gone unnoticed.
RDJ—Plaintiff’s Counsel
Thank you kindly. I greatly appreciate all your above-and-beyond guidance throughout this process. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
DL—Defense Counsel
Gerry, thanks for agreeing to serve a second session. I believe that defense counsel now understands their exposure after your closing remarks in the previous joint session. I only wish we had more mediators like you in Texas!
